Registry and Those RSVP's!

Just to remind people, John and I have recently set up a registry at Bed, Bath & Beyond.
It is not a big list, but does have some simple and practical items.  In case you need it,
our registry number is 541270392.  You can also search using the names
Jenn Disse and John Sender

Oh, and there is one important thing we need to fix!! The "MY PILLOW" thing is not supposed to be on our registry.  That was a mistake that needs to be taken off the list.

Also, this is a reminder for all of you last minute repliers--- turn in those RSVP cards!  We need to start getting a more accurate idea of how many people to expect.  This is for your benefit, so you will have enough good food to eat and enough places to sit.  Thanks everyone!

Also, if you are a part of the immediate Disse/Giles/Winkler/Sender family, contact either John or me (or Mama Disse) directly about a hotel room that may be set aside for you.

Another Registry

John and I just recently added another registry to our list-- Bed, Bath, and Beyond.  Again, it is a small registry, since there isn't too much we need here.  Also, it should be noted that guests are in no way obligated to bring gifts-- especially those friends and family members who have already given us a wedding gift back in February.  Your presence at this celebration is gift enough!

Johnifa

Camping at Pocahontas

For all of you out of town guests-- don't worry, we haven't forgotten about you.  We are in the process of reserving some rooms in a hotel near the park.

However, some of you may be interested in renting a camp site for the weekend of the event.  There is a two night minimum, so you would have to sleep there both Saturday night and Sunday night.  The cost is $47 a night.  Here is the link to the campsites at Pocahontas.  Camping!

Wedding Attire

Some people have been asking about the dress code for the party.  It is completely up to you to decide, but John and I will be going for "summer casual."  Think sundresses and strappy sandals, or khakis and short sleeved shirts.  If you want to wear party clothes, wear party clothes!  If you want to wear "church clothes," wear "church clothes!"  If you want to wear picnic/bbq casual attire, do that!  The party is both inside and outside, so wear something that will be comfortable for that.  We don't like being told what to wear, so dress how you wish! Feel free!

Gifts and Giving

For those who have been asking, John and I have set up a wedding registry at Target.  The list of items we want/need is not a long one; we feel pretty comfortable with what we have for our home here in Philly. (Thank you to those generous Philadelphia family members who have already been showering us with gifts!)  Feel free to just send small wedding greetings, gift cards, or even donations towards John's work at World Harvest Mission (now called Serge).  The link to give to his work and, ultimately, the work that both of us plan to do overseas in the following year, is here: sender link.

Thanks again for your love!

Celebrate!

Hello, and welcome to the blog of John and Jenn!  God has been so good to bring both of us to a small town in wild, hot South Sudan, where we fell into a deep friendship, and, ultimately, LOVE! We are so glad that you have an interest in us and our recent marriage.  Thank you for your love!  This blog will serve as an update for those planning to attend our marriage celebration on June 29'th.  Thanks for visiting.
